I agree with this. One short term job will not ruin your chances. I think the more recent OR experience may help you.

Is your desk job with the same company? if so- put it- just say you were offered a position in administration and felt this experience would provide a more well rounded medical experience. I guess it depends on job 1, job 2 and now job 3 (p/t) if they are different firms/hospitals.

I worked as an OR nurse from 1998-2005.
I worked in another area of nursing (NICU) from 2005-2009.


Briefly from Nov 2009-Feb 2010 I went back to the OR as I had missed it and had been out of it for 4 years. I hated this job. I quit after a few months. It was a stressful period in my life (mom died of cancer and dad got sick at the same time).
I was offered a desk job and quit the OR. Too much stress in my life and the OR job was toxic. I like the desk job, I work PT.


I want to apply for a PT job that would utilize my OR skills. It doesn't require OR but it's a definite plus.
Would you include the three month OR stint? It makes my OR experience a bit more recent. But it may look like I couldn't hack it.

I am not worried about it showing up any background checks-so don't include that in your response.
I am also not worried about a gap on my resume because during that time I still picked up NICU shifts and was technically employed there.
