I started following @wdcgardner and she follows and re-tweets tweets from local gardeners and the like. Great source of info and photos generally -- reminders for local native plant sales, frost warnings, etc.

What I like about twitter, is that most of the folks are just that, folks with a hobby, who have experience they are willing to share.

Adrian Higgins. He writes weekly columns in the Thursday home section during the spring/summer/fall (and occasionally the rest of the year). He also has a book (WashPost Gardening Guide). He sometimes does chats now, but not regularly.

Can anyone point me to some local gardening blogs? I have a blank slate and am looking for inspiration in our area. Not really interested in master gardening sites or community gardens...more like homeowners' blogs.
