I agree you want to try a glove first. Dick's has the largest selection by far around here but if you are not picky any of the sporting goods stores works with Sports Authority having a better selection than Modells. Prices are all the same unless there is some sale. If you are up for a used glove, Play it Again Sams (there is one in Rockville) can be good. I got a great deal on a catcher's glove there once that was all broken in.

We get our son's glove off Amazon, but he's a lefty and it's hard to find a good selection in b&m stores.

Really? I've never been to the Bethesda Modell's, but I'd say the one in Columbia Heights carries low- to mid-range stuff and offers terrible service (albeit decent prices). Is the Bethesda one really that different?
