I am not sure what you are asking.... if you are looking for a job outside of your specialization then yes, the other projects are helpful. If you are looking for a job in your specialization then I am sure they will look at at that first. Having a variety of experience is good, you just need to know what to pick and choose in your cover letter.

I have a specialization, but my company is on the small side (25 in corporate office) and I work on projects in my area plus a lot of others. Would another company value those additional projects/skills, or will they simply look at my experience in my specialty and base their opinion on that?

How do you market yourself when you feel like you have more to offer than just expertise in one area?
