Okay, I'm still a couple of years away, but how does the lottery system work for twins? We'd like to get into the lottery for several of the charter or specialty schools, but I have no idea how they handle twins? I know that some schools have sibling preferences when an older child is already at the school, but do both of your children get to share the higher lottery number/acceptance/wait? We'd like to keep them together at least for K and grade school.

Please note that the location of the French Immersion is moving to a different location for the upcoming school year. It is targeted to move to the Greenbelt Middle School location. I believe it is the large white building near the bus depot on 193.

The Robbert Goddard French Immersion is pretty highly rated. A little girl in my daughter's pre-k has a sister who goes there and I have heard good things from her parents. We are wait listed for the French Immersion but placed for the Spanish Immersion.

We have two children at RGFI and have been really happy with it. It is a great program, with quality teachers, and a lot of parent involvement. Positive atmosphere with teachers and administration who seem really dedicated, committed, and responsive.

Got the letter today that my child was accepted into the Goddard French immersion program. Given the numbers, we weren't expecting it, and we were considering a move to Silver Spring. If you've had/have a child at Goddard I'd appreciate hearing about your experience. I'm interested in the quality of instruction, capacity of teachers to work with more emotionally sensitive kids, and school climate in general. Thanks in advance.
