Well I got the almond milk recipe off of DCUM somehow…here it is!

So I made it this morning and it was super-easy and good. But you need a bag to squeeze out the milk--I got mine on amazon. I also got a little silly and bought an old fashioned milk jar of real milk at Whole Foods, and used that milk up so I could have the jar for my almond milk, LOL

Making almond milk is pretty easy. Soak almonds overnight. Then use 1 cup of almonds to 3 cups of water in a blender. You can add in dates or vanilla bean to sweeten it as well as add a pinch of sea salt. Then mix it all up in a blender and then pour it into a nut bag to strain it (got mine on amazon). I baked the remains in the over for 2 hours at about 200 and then put it into the blender to make flour. I too am looking for recipes.

Freeze it in an ice cube tray and use a couple of cubes whenever you make a smoothie.

Look up "almond flour muffins" recipes. Lots of paleo blogs will have recipes.

Wait, you made your own almond milk? Is it hard? More/less expensive than buying it (I need an almond cow for my toddler who drinks this stuff). Can you share a recipe?

Do I need to dry it out to do that, or is damp ok? (and if I do need to dry it out, what, just spread it out and let it dry, or do I have to put it in the oven, etc?)

Put in the freezer and use it when you bake. You can dry it and grind it up further in your cuisinart. If you don't bake, you can compost it, or make it into dog food. I buy almond meal from Trader Joe's, so I'd take it if you lived near me. I use almond meal in pancakes, cookies, muffins etc. It's a great gluten-free substitute for flour.

So the person who wrote the recipe said:

You can use the almond pulp for all kinds of things like oatmeal, hummus, homemade granola, smoothies, cookie or muffin batter, crackers, or you can even dehydrate it and then blend it up to make almond meal. Oh, and you can freeze it too.

Ok but I don't really know how to do any of that. Do you, or do you have another idea for it? It's basically a mash of almonds, vanilla bean, and a couple of dates. Is it basically, wet almond "flour" or is it not, because I've "milked" it? (meaning, it's not just mashed almonds/vanilla/dates because I added water and then strained that out to get the milk)

I don't want to waste it! Thank you in advance for any ideas/recipes/uses!
