She's surrounded by peers that are applying to decent schools and while she's definitely smart herself, I honestly don't think she has a shot at UMD or any of the top privates that her classmates desire to attend. She really is looking into Old Dominion(only because they have marketed themselves to her very well), but that's out of state. Also I'm afraid that it may be too large of a school for her. Her father is pressuring her to apply to UMD, but she's intimidated by the size. She told me that she no longer wants to take any standardized tests because she has taken the SAT 4 times and she just wants to focus on applying to college in the fall. I'm not sure where to direct her as her list of requirements takes most schools of off the list. She is planning on being a business major(not accounting or finance), she wants to be in the city, and she prefers a student body less than 10k if possible, but larger than 2k. I like American, LaSalle, Towson, and Salisbury. She's expressed to me that Salisbury is not a good fit because it's isolated from the rest of the state. Where do you suggest that she look?
How about UMBC or VCU? I think both UMD and American are unlikely.
