What better way to send the message home than turning the tables around. I do this with my kids for things like interrupting, repeating myself, whining, screaming, etc. Kids really get it when they are on the receiving end of the scenario.
+1000. It's so funny hearing them say to you, "Mama. Didn't you hear me??? I was calling you over and over from upstairs???" hahahah... I just look at them and say, "I know how you feel." The light bulb really turns on.
