If "the purpose" is to get away from cow milk, goat milk is much kinder on the system (it's more similar to human milk because the ratio of whey to …ah, the other…spacing here…is more similar to human milk.

. My dd is sensitive to regular cows milk and can tolerate kefir. It's virtually lactose free because of the fermenting process.
