They will either put a value on the donation or allow you to do it. You'll get a reciept confirming the donation.

Has anyone donated to habitat for humanity? I am considering donating my kitchen cabinets as we prepare for a renovation but I am not sure how the deduction would work. Any advice would be helpful.
