If you forget to start it before falling asleep, you can log into the app and manually set your sleep times. It will then process your awake and restless times. Doesn't help when you don't wear it to bed, of course. It also has a way of changing between normal and extra sensitive sleep settings. Supposedly the normal is for wearing it on your wrist, the sensitive is for wearing it on your torso. I wear it on my wrist, but it doesn't fully capture when I'm awake, as I try to be still and not wake up DH.
I usually wear my One on the spacer of my bra. When I run it goes in a zippered pants or shirt pocket. And when I sleep it goes in a Phubby, as I didn't like the armband that it came with.
