I may still have some travel buff - I like that color with light colored skirts, although I tend to wear those in summer and don't often wear hose in summer unless I am doing a big presentation. I go with opaque black in winter unless it's formal, and then opt for nude. Spring is usually the most awkward since it's typically cooler, and my legs look pastier, so I am more likely to wear hose then.

Yes. Kate and her sister, Pippa, single handedly brought back hose. When I started my Fed job in 1995 all women were required to wear them. I remember not doing it at times in the summer since I was very tan. Flash forward 19 years and jeezus has the dress code gotten horrible. People wear things I wouldn't even walk the dog in.

You should always wear hose with a skirt to court, interviews, client meetings. The color should match your skin in the summer. Fall and winter you can go sheer black.

I think pale / white / cream hose and tights are very unflattering. Sheer nude hose should make you look polished but should be almost invisible. Like foundation on your face.

Hey OP, ignore these posters. I used to wear Travel Buff color hose too back in the 90s! I love it. I hope it comes back.

Travel Buff was a color of hose I remember wearing in the 90's when I worked for a company that required women to wear hose with skirts/dresses. It was a beige/off-white/nude color and worked with black, navy, red, everything. I used to stock up on it at the Hecht's at Metro center when they had their hosiery sale. It was very sheer and didn't make you look like you had cabbage patch doll legs. I think it was made by Hane's.

What do you wear at trial when wearing a suit with a skirt?

Not sure what you mean by "travel buff". I'm a trial attorney, though, and I definitely wear hose when I wear a skirt to court, and probably in the color you are referring to. I'm kind of over black hose, and it's hard to find a nude that matches my skin tone exactly. I definitely want to avoid that Hooter-girl super-tan-leg look. BUt I wouldn't base your idea of what's "in" on what an attorney wears to court. I for one dress super-conservatively for court, but it doesn't mean I think it is stylish.

Goodness. Don't ruin those pearls by clutching them too tightly.

Are you asking about hose in general, or the travel buff color in particular? I don't know anything about travel buff, but if you must wear hose, choose sheer black or a color that matches your skin tone.

I was surprised to see an attorney wear them in trial. Haven't seen them in a while.
I need to get this type of hose for work, which is a little lighter than my bare legs color.
Other suggestions are welcome.
