I honestly can't comprehend what FCPS is thinking, allowing AAP to become such a mess. A few years ago, when it was GT and only took kids who were actually gifted, it wasn't as much of a problem. But the way it is run now is just a farce, as a PP aptly put it.

Kill sports programs and focus on academics as they are supposed to.

Don't cut it. But reduce numbers significantly with only gifted kids in AAP.

Agree. Budget cuts galore but they won't drop AAP or FLES. Wouldn't want the rich kids to have a harder time getting into an Ivy. Or to not be fluent in Japanese or German.

Agree -- they should cut band and strings in elementary school, too.
