Oh, and I tried a tricyclic. I can't recall the name. I took it for a few days, but didn't tolerate it well.

Xanax

I have been RXd Paxil, Celexa and Effexor. Had bad side effects with each. Currently taking Wellbutrin daily and Xanax as needed.

If the anger outburst are bad, a mood stabilizer might help. They have a lot of side effects, though.

Oh geez, I'm sorry, I read the subject line as PPD. Ignore medication advice, but good wishes still stand.

Just antidepressants for me. (Cymbalta, because I also have fibro and sometimes it helps.) Of course everyone is different, but I went from a complete mess -- angry, nonstop crying, even hints of psychosis -- to basically fine after a week of meds. Good luck!
