Private school tends to have older parents and yes it has to do with income level I was 37 snd 41 for each of my k kids

I was 35 when oldest started K. I felt like I was 15 years younger than most. I was 40 when youngest started and felt like most were about my age, not much older or younger.

The appearance gap closes as you get older. I found that the age difference wasn't such a big deal after a while. One of best friends is almost 12 years older than me and another best friend is five years younger.

I was 38 when my oldest started K at a private. I was among the younger half but didn't feel out of place. There were parents in their mid-40s-early 50s but also plenty of other parents in the mid to upper 30s.

I'm 38 with a kindergartner and get made fun of fairly often for being the baby amongst the moms...

We are 42 and 45. Our oldest is in 4th and youngest is in k. I often feel old.

Def an older set. 38 is about the youngest mom of a K student.
