Sephora does a 20% off coupon for the VIB members in November. Otherwise you can try to get a Friends & Family coupon if you know someone who works there, and that sale would be in October-November right before the VIB 20%. If you sign up for Ulta's rewards card they will also send out 20% off coupons maybe twice a year which are good on the prestige brands, but the rest of their coupons are only good on drugstore stuff. They sometimes do gift with purchases on Smashbox, might want to check Ulta.com if there are any deals. I'd also suggest keeping an eye on Temptalia.com because she does a sale round-up every Monday and Smashbox is usually on there with some kind of promo code at least.

Nordstrom rack sells some discounted smashbox products. I get my eyeshadows there and photo finish primer

OP, you might try checking the Smashbox website itself if you haven't already to see if they have sales. I recently ordered stuff from Urban Decay's site for 20% off, though you were limited to buying 5 items at the discount. Maybe Smashbox does the same on occasion?
