Mason is OK, but I'd put it last on that list. Probably has the lowest average SAT scores as well.

Depends a lot on what your DC wants. Does she/he want large? Then Penn State or UMD. Do they want to go farther from home? Then UDel or Penn State. Do they enjoy DC and like that vibe? Then American or GWU. Do they want a campus or urban feel? UDel's campus is very nice.

I dislike psu a lot, but what's with massive underrating of it on these boards?
lots of psu grads in choice fields and decent employers.
wsj and f500 recruiters have said how they love recruiting there for decent jobs
that said, I wouldn't pick psu over umd.
