At the open house, they said even if they move, they won't add more classrooms or children/classroom. Right now, their model is small class sizes and two classes per grade. They don't feel they are ready to expand beyond that.
There will be a slight expansion (as approved by the DCPCSB) at most, 2 kids per grade. The sibbling forms and the intent to return forms were all due back and have been counted, so they know exactly how many spaces they have.
The lottery is 3 days away, so everyone will know soon enough.
Yes, sorry, at the open house, the numbers they provided included the additional two per grade. If I recall, they said that means they have 34 slots (including siblings) for PK3, rather than 32 of last year. Not that that helps OP--not sure how many slots they will have open if there is attrition, especially if they move. Obviously there will be at least 2!
