No. A separate suspect was arrested later the same day. In the press conference (that just ended) with the police chief announcing Severence's charges, he stated that at the time, there is no known connection between yesterday morning's victim, and the suspect arrested last night.

I know all too well what it is like to have someone murdered. The person I know was in his house, with his girlfriend, when a man knocked on their door, busted in, and violently stabbed them both to death. I hadn't seen this man for a quite some time as I had moved away but it still shook my world and changed my reality.
