I'm a vegetarian, and I would recommend Founding Farmers or Ceiba.

Agree with the recommendations for Fiola (my favorite!), Central and Oyamel. Have you tried The Source? Cedar is a hidden gem that probably has some good vegetarian options.

My husband has the same birthday as my twin sister and I do, so we generally celebrate by going to lunch during the work week. I work in Chinatown, he's in L'Enfant, and my sister is near Metro Center. The only requirement is that it has to offer something vegetarian.

We've been to Zaytinya, Rasika, Proof, and Tosca- love them but also looking for something new.
