I met a mother at a playground in Arlington. We started talking and she asked me where I lived. I said I lived in Alexandria. Then she started talking about how she and her DH were looking at homes in Alexandria and what did I think of this or that neighborhood. She said that she didn't know much about the neighborhoods but she was told to stay far away from Route 1 because that area was full of criminals. Then she asked me where in Alexandria I lived. I tried not to grin as I replied, "Right along Rt. 1." Crickets.
