No. You get milk with little globs of the cream in it instead of one big chunk. Homogenized milk doesn't have chunks.

Shaking doesn't homogenize it. Shaking is what makes it go from cream to butter. The cream rises to the top. It's a plug in the top of the bottle because the bottle has been jostled around during delivery, turning the cream into almost-butter.

Homogenization is a process by which the milk is treated so the fat remains evenly suspended throughout the milk. Simply shaking the bottle is only a temporary dispersal.

What do you do with that plug of butter fat on the top of the bottle? We like to just eat it, but is there something to do with it other than that? Collect it from a few bottles and do....what with it?
