I think you are referring to what is now Lillie's, which is also a good spot . I posted earlier that New Heights is the way to go, but Lilies is nice too.

It's been a few years, but there used to be a tiny neighborhood Italian place on the east side of Connecticut Avenue. It was just north of Calvert, south of the zoo, in a residential building (but with its own entrance). Boyfriend (now DH) and I went once. Yummy and cozy.

HI. I have a friend coming to DC from Portland, OR this Friday. She has asked me to recommend a nice QUIET restaurant near the Woodley Park area. They are staying in the big hotel there - forgot the name. I haven't been to restaurants in WP in years. ANy good recommendations for a nice, quiet restaurant for a couple?
