What about a grand old resort in the White Mountains?

Woodloch was the first thing that popped into mind - why doesn't she want to do it?

Isn't there a dude ranch in New York? Rocking Horse Ranch or something? I think there is someplace else in Vermont (not Tyler's Place) - Smuggler's Notch, maybe? - but from what I hear it isn't as nice as Woodloch.

Linekin Bay Resort in Maine. That's the place I was thinking of. Sounds fun!

There really aren't many all-inclusives in the US. There's a Club Med in Florida, but it's probably kind of hot in August. There's a place in Maine that sounds really good, but I forget the name; you can search this board for it.

I need to find a place to spend 5-7 days in late August with my family of 5, old MIL, and sister's family. Five kids total ranging from 5 - 15.

For a variety of reasons, I think an upscale all-inclusive is the way to go, otherwise we'll spend a lot of time debating how to handle meals and it won't be relaxing. Unfortunately, Tyler Place is out, because sister doesn't want to be separated from her kids during meals. She also doesn't want to go to Skytop, Woodloch, or Homestead.

New England is best, but I think we are also willing to travel west, staying in the US.

Any ideas?
