rechargeable sonicare. Basic model. Don't need to pay more for bells and whistles I won't use.

My Rotadent is on it's last legs and no longer responds much to re-charging it. Time for a new toothbrush. Is it worth it to spend a fortune on a new Rotadent or are there other less expensive options that are just as good? What do you recommend? What has your dentist recommended?
