Great responses, and so reassuring. We just sent in our deposit for ALG and are so excited! The factors that you saw as benefits were exactly our selling points. Our DD gravitates towards older kids and babies. She doesn't do as well with kids her own age. We didn't like the restricted classrooms that some of the other preschools offered because we thought she would get easily bored. Figured she would want to move around to other activities. I literally had to bribe her out of the school when we toured. I also think rotating teachers is a good thing because we want her to get comfortable with different adults. Thanks again!

Another current ALG parent here. Our child has been at the school for two years and we simply love it -- we will definitely be sending our second child there as well.

As for rotating teachers, I wouldn't think it would be an issue for an introverted or extroverted child. There is a lot of continuity to each day -- it is not as if there is an entirely different set of teachers each day. Most teachers work 4 days a week and some work all 5 days. For us having numerous teachers spend time with our child is preferable to one or two teachers. They each teach in their own unique way, which adds additional enrichment for the kids.

As for the lack of individual classrooms, we have always felt that this was a benefit as well, not a draw back. Provides lots of opportunities for learning at many different levels.

Hi - Current ALG parent here. We're on our second child and fourth year at ALG and we cannot say enough good things about the school. Our extroverted kids are not at all bothered by the rotating teachers or peers. In fact, until your post I had never even thought about it as an issue. The kids do start out the day in their peer groups and then have the flexibility to move as they wish. Our kids have benefited from the loose structure, they both gravitated towards playing with slightly older peers. The teachers are excellent and the continuity is amazing - one teacher has been at ALG over 25 years, another over 12 years, and the others between 8-5 years. Any other specific concerns?

Are there current ALG parents who can share their opinions and thoughts on the school? We went on tours and loved the school but are concerned about the rotating teacher aspect. Not every teacher is there everyday so the kids are having to get used to different adults. I think this might work for our child (who is an extrovert) but I'm not sure. The same goes for the lack of individual "classrooms" and the rotating of different students everyday. Again, this could totally work for our child but its one of those situations where we're not sure unless we try it.

Are there current parents who could give feedback on these two specific points? Or anything else that you think might be helpful?
