I found a cheap pair at target last summer. They are fine for that purpose.

I prefer the longer length. I'm a petite person and they aren't too long (mid thigh?). I normally do wear knee length skirts and dresses though.

I prefer the shorter length. (I'm the one who posted and just googled and posted the first link that showed up for them). When I'm chasing after my toddler even my skirts/dresses that just above the knee ride up so I prefer the short ones.

Love these, wish they had them in maternity as I'm dreading having sweaty thighs in July and August in my last few weeks of pregnancy. These keep me from worrying about those surprise wind gusts in the metro escalators when my hands are full.

jockey slip shorts!!! LOVE them. I do generally wear a thong under them though.

Yep to PP. I wear the shortest bike shorts I can. Two pair of black, two pair of white.

no particular suggestion- but my good friend does this under almost everything! She is an in shape women but always struggled with thigh rubbing, says wearing bike shorts works like a charm

So, I have a number of casual summer dresses that I'd like to be able to wear while being able to chase after my toddler. I was thinking that a pair of bike-type shorts underneath might prevent me from flashing strangers (and help with the sweaty summer thighs). Any suggestions? I don't need or want a lot of compression or shaping.
