My grandfathers fought on opposite sides of WWII. Both of their countries suffered atrocities at the hands of the other.

Notwithstanding, my parents fell in love and married.
Their parents were surprised but not angry.
No one had to "get over" anything.

So... either you're the greatest dunce ever or you're enjoying your little mean self.

Why are you even in America, if you feel so strongly about this?

You tell your husband that you want a divorce, and then seek therapy on your own.

Ummm….you really shouldn't have married an American.

You should have gotten therapy for this when you found out what you future father in law does. You should not have gotten married until you got this resolved in therapy.

You need to go to therapy to address this immediately.

Or OP is just crazy. Which seems more likely than an anti-Russian troll which seems pretty random.

How did you get to the point of marrying him when you harbor this much animosity? Therapy OP. I can understand where you are coming from, but you are not behaving rationally. How do you know he wasn't drafted and hated every single minute of his life while in the military?

What do I tell my husband about his father? I am from Russia. His father is ex-U.S. military. He flew bombers armed with atomic bombs targeted on my motherland. I cannot get over that had he been asked he would have killed me and my family just b/c we were Russian. I do not want him in my house.
