It appears that Janis can't see the forest through the popsicle stick. Good God! Who spends so much time analyzing every single word in a tweet? I'm new to MCPS and to the PC (thanks to a previous post on this forum) and think the ranting and personal attacks on the PC blog causes Janis et al to lose credibility.

I think PC would be better served by being more selective. They do point out real issues with MCPS, however. I am glad they exist. The raise fair points. They share a ton of documents and factual events that are not widely available to the public. Sometimes they nitpick a little too much, but it is better to have them then to not have them. We are all educated adults, so use the information to make your own decisions. If you just want the scrubbed story from MCPS, you are naive.

I'm the OP. Still say the PC is BS crazy. Seems others agree. 23:12 got it right. Perhaps they, OK she, served a good purpose at one time, but when all you do is continually complain and bash those who disagree with you (read her comments directed at those who dare question her), you lose all credibility. Too bad the two or so others who post there are too scared to tell her this.

To paraphrase Shakespeare, me thinks she doth protest too much. When all you do is complain, people stop listening. And so what if they are using popsicle sticks or whatever they call them. I don't get the impression this is the basis of an entire curriculum. Just a clever tool that teachers can use.

There are things to complain about MoCo schools. But popsicle? Choose your battles.

Janis hates every single thing about MCPS. That alone kills any credibility she may have about a particular issue. She should try to be a little more selective,

I started following "them" on Twitter because I thought their mission sounded benevolent, but my god, it's all negative! Whatever MCPS does is wrong, whatever Starr does/says/wears/thinks/breathes is horrific. I am so glad others find them batsh!t crazy too....I was beginning to worry.

The Parents' Coalition is not batshit crazy, but is on the contrary a very useful thorn MoCo residents have in the side of MCPS - wished it were a bigger one, because MCPS needs to talk less and teach more. OP will realize his use of hyperbole, like Joshua Starr's use of hyperbole, is working against him.

I think its a fine thing for teachers to do. IMO, teachers know what works and what doesn't without adding a lot of BS to the explanation. Other teachers that are open to suggestions should be exposed to new ways that others find work. All good.

Precisely, it IS a good thing to do in the classroom. Noticde how the PC blogger takes Dr. Starr's tweet totally out of context.

It's par for the course for the PC. Whatever Dr. Starr does, must, by their definition, totally suck. They're Bats$it crazy!
