I've never paid much attention to it, but I'm pretty sure you get a report sometime during the summer. I think it just tends to say if your kid falls in proficient or advanced range in reading and math. I don't know what they call the level below proficient... basic, maybe?
Anyway, my understanding is it's mostly used as a gauge of the school and teachers. I don't know that matters much for individual children.
