Yikes...appreciate the honesty but very glad I'm not married to you. DH and I did it very sporadically during pregnancy because he said it seemed weird, but his drive is low to start with. I wish I had known how uncomfortable sex would be while nursing, so I would have pushed getting more action during pregnancy.

Tell him that the sex is unlikely to rebound from pregnancy levels when the baby comes along. So, if he wants to have sex later, he better keep the base line high now.

My midwife had a VERY frank talk with DH once while I went to the bathroom, and she showed him how much space there was between where the baby was and how far his penis reached.

On the drive him he was all "Did you know even though I'm not at ALL small it's not even POSSIBLE for me to touch the baby when we have sex?"

My DH never had issues with it, but I have one couple friend in particular who's DH just really couldn't get over it and they had little to no intercourse her whole pregnancy (x3). You might want to purchase a dildo and he can still pleasure you orally. Sorry.

I am pregnant with our first child. I'm about 4.5 months along. For the past few weeks (ever since our ultrasound really), DH has been freaked out by sex, knowing the baby is in there. He understands that we won't hurt the baby, but he is having a difficult time wrapping his head around it. He initiated something yesterday, and everything was great until we tried to move from foreplay to actual intercourse, and he lost his erection.

Men: if you were like this, was there something that helped you move past it? DH already has a lower sex drive than me in general, which is frustrating. I'm not ready to go 5 more months with no sex!!
