We have Pottery Barn flower stickers (I don't think thye call them that!) on our walls. It's terrific and we can always take them down if we need to. I recommend going the easy way! But that house love stenciling is awesome!

just go to target or look online and get the decals. they have some really cute ones. we did this as a kid in my room and it looked bad and then fixing it and repainting was a chore.

once a child is 11-12 they want another room type thing anyway.

I stenciled some furniture last year. Lot of work--more work than just painting. But could you spraypaint?

Alternately, could you buy a decal to stick on the wall?

i just did one on a section of my bedroom. it was a repeating pattern so i had to align everything 100% perfectly and was a PITA. if its less involved i would say go for it. also there were a lot of details for paint to dry and get stuck to so i had to clean it five times during the project. that part took longer than i thought. other than that, it took about half a day start to finish and i love the way it looks. while there was some paint bleeds you can't really see them from a distance. just be honest with the amount of effort and time you want to put towards this project. i am glad i did it but don't plan to do it again.

We just did a few stenciled designs that did not require a full repeating pattern (less pressure ) fwiw (or, I have also seen nice "decals").

I want to import some color into my daughter's new room, without painting all of the walls.
I thought I would buy a large stencil pattern (template) and create a pattern on one wall, and depending on the result and time, do more walls. (I don't like the look of one wall of a different solid color.)
Has anyone done this and came out on the other side? Any suggestions for brand / stencil? I saw some on Amazon that were simple and pretty.
I don't want an insane amount of work; I am pregnant and my thought was that I could do a little each day. I actually like the look of a chevron or diamond (argyle) pattern, but anticipate this taping would be a lot of work and time.
