PP here. Also my hair has a nice shine w/ high end dryer and looks very dull without. And over time there is less breakage when I do straighten my hair - in addition to being curly it is very fine and dense.

Had my T3 evolution for 5 years now. It savesd my hair. Cheap blow dryers always made my hair look fried, no matter technique. CHI Turbo Pro and Superstar also worked really well for me.

Difference for me is usually more expensive dryers have more heat/fllow combo options, use different technology sometimes to dry hair inside out which is less damaging vs. frying the cuticle. Also it can often dry hair quicker.

I have naturally curly hair which needs incremental heat, low flow for a good blowout. With a high end dryer it is 15 min. At a hotel, it takes FOREVER and can look like a rats nest that will need a flat iron with multiple passes. I always take my blow dryer w/ me when I travel.

I had a T3 veloce (the $99 one) and it died a month after its 1 yr mark. It also didn't blow air very hard. Wasnt impressed and I'm not sure my hair was any better looking than the one I'm using now (rusk I think and about $79).

The less expensive driers die much sooner. I used to have to buy a blow drier a year. I haven't bought a new one in over three years since I got my Elchim. My hair comes out much smoother because of the higher heat I get from the more expensive drier.

Also less dbs. Most people use a drier at home in the bathroom. It is very loud and can hurt your hearing. The more expensive one are very quiet.

That is not safe for your dog. Even the cool setting on a hair dryer is too warm for a dog's sensitive skin.

Well, I can't resist. The difference between a cheap and expensive dryer is cost.

More expensive ones are higher voltage which means less time to dry your hair. For me it makes a difference because I spend 30 minutes blow drying my hair (only 2x/week) and my arms are killing me by the end.

Please educate me. What is the difference for my over 40 hair between a cheap vs expensive hair dryer. Someone recommended that it would make a difference, but I don't really get it. Is it worth it if I only use it once per week?
