Is it just me or are the boys WAY stronger than the girls? I looove Ben Briley and for no reason I can understand Dexter Roberts (and I don't really like country music).

Also, what did you all think about the new "Rush Week" format? I kind of hated it. Hated calling up only 10 of the 15 of each gender to sing when everyone was prepared. Hated then having only 5 of each gender chosen and then the wild cards having to sing on the spot. I don't like seeing all the poor kids who thought they made it through, only to not even be able to sing!

So I don't get it...those other five are just gone? Or are they part of some group where they are picking "wild cards"? I'm confused.

I don't know what everyone sees in MK. Also Kristen, for some reason, drives me nuts. I can see her in Disney World as Ariel.

Definite favorites were Briana, Emily am Malaya.

The song wasn't really the right choice for her, but he was kinda paternalistic/rude.

I thought he was right on the money when he asked Jena what "Paint it Black" means, however. And she really butchered one of the best rock songs of all time.

MK still seems nervous and it makes her songs boring.
Briana has a great voice, but that was a poor song choice.

Brianna has an incredible voice. I didn't really like her performance tonight (maybe because I'm not familiar with the song) but I'm looking forward to hearing more from her.

I'm rooting for the black chick with the red hair. She rocked it out.

I've only seen a few snippets so don't know names yet. I also liked the bubba-trucker-hat dude.

Not blown away by anyone tonight. Honestly, I think they let a lot of good ones go.

There were only a couple of singers tonight that did not sound nervous. I really liked the first singer.

I only caught the last 3 girls, but I loved Emily. She was so poised and cute and her moves were awesome. I was surprised the judges were not more enthusiastic. The girl before her with purple hair- I did not like at all. Not thrilled with MK either. Thoughts?

Why aren't they letting everyone sing. Makes no sense.
