Oh honey replacing this floor is maybe 5th or 6th on our list of major to-dos. The least we can do in the meantime is keep it looking like a bad 70s movie, not a bad 70s horror movie

Phew, glad the acetone didn't mess up the floor even worse!

I would say I'm 99% sure it was them, only because of how striking the stain was-- like I said I checked multiple orifices to see if I was dripping blood from anywhere, and it was right in the middle of the floor. Interesting question about the oven cleaner. They do, so maybe. I honestly would not care if they spilled something and told me we need to figure out how to get it off, but they just flat out denied it. Which just strikes me as odd. I'm lazy, so I probably won't change companies, but this is a big strike against them.

Did they use oven cleaner? Some of them cause red stains on certain types of floors.

Are you 100% sure it was the cleaners? Sometimes I don't notice things until they've been because 1) I'm looking and 2) everything else is so clean by comparison. Kids can also be mystery stainers.

Thanks DCUM! It came off with acetone. Didn't look like nail polish (still kind of dried blood brown in color). How strange, and I do think I need new cleaners

If it's nail polish, you need new cleaners.

Maybe nail polish. How strange, WTF would they be doing polishing their nails? I was home, but out of their way the whole time...

Discovered a 50 cent sized splatter on kitchen floor (linoleum) after cleaners left this a.m. plus about 5 smaller spots around it. Looks like blood. To the point where I gasped and checked if I was bleeding when I first saw it. But it doesn't come up with alcohol wipes or bleach. I am going to try vinegar and baking soda next, but WTF? What could this be? Cleaners are saying it was there when they got here (it was not, but even so, it's still a mystery what it is). Any guesses?
