Dear GOD - please get the kids out of the house STAT!

I will kill someone if MCPS closes school tomorrow. 2 hour delay I can bear...but not school being off.

Oh please God! I have learnt my lesson. I will put in an extra Target gift card in my Christmas cards to the teachers in 2014. Please get these eating machines out of my house!!!

Me too! And I've been a total slacker lately, even before the snow. But Im going in tomorrow resolving to be the best employee I can possibly be...that resolution should last until about lunchtime...

Totally. I'd love to WFH every day and maybe do the office once a month. I love not getting ready. Saves so much time. The break makes me realize how much I can't stand my staff and majority of my coworkers.

I agree with PP. I love working. In theory. I love my job. In theory. I loved all of it before kids. In reality. I didn't mind the commute. Before kids! Now the 2-3 hours lost each day makes me so sad. Can't move closer in (kids love their school and DH loves the house and area) and can't find a job closer to me (I'm in health policy).

I'd do anything to work from home. Tomorrow or any day. it's the commute that drains me going there and back (1 hour each way--I know many others have longer commutes). Trying...to...get...geared...up...for... it... again. I arrive exhausted and (worse) come home without the energy for my kids. I like the job otherwise, and work with nice people who don't believe in working from home.

I'm happy the kids are going back to school but sad that we'll have to wake up early to get them there.
