Order one without meat and beans to eliminate MSG as a potential cause

Do people get headaches from too much salt? What is that from? I thought salt headaches from high blood pressure had been debunked. I'm interested in this.

You're not talking about Chipotle, though, right? First, they don't have waitresses there. And what is there to be "prepared elsewhere?" I've seen them make the guacamole right there. And the meat is cooked right there too.

No, not Chipotle obviously!

Thanks for the replies, all.

Maybe it's MSG. I looked it up and I could only find this one post from a Chipotle employee saying they don't use MSG (https://www.facebook.com/chipotle/posts/425943579252). Elsewhere I've looked on the internet, people say they've directly emailed Chipotle asking about MSG use and that Chipotle doesn't give them a straight answer, so it's not clear to me whether they actually use it or not.

I didn't overeat (I'd eat half or a third of the burrito) and I always got it takeout.

Salt. I get same thing from in n out. But I don't give it up bc it's that good. A fast food hangover.

Or the bad air. Do you eat in or take out?

Agree that it might be MSG. I think MSG is a common ingredient in 'Mexican' spices (though I might be wrong??).

Or, the ridiculous amounts of salt?

Do you tend to overeat there because of the portion sizes? I get a headache when I eat too much and the food is heavy.

Every time I eat at Chipotle, I end up developing a really bad headache that doesn't go away until I go to sleep. Bad enough that I don't want to do anything except crawl under the covers in a dark room. Once I finally figured out the cause of the headaches, I stopped eating there.

Does this happen to anyone else? Any idea on what might be causing this?
