I like the cupcake sauvignon blanc (answering the person above).
My favorite sauvignon blanc, though, is Nobilo. Also like Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling and surprisingly, their Chardonnay. My SIL always has a bottle of the Hogue Riesling in her fridge, but I find it too sweet.
For reds, I like the Mark West Pinot Noir, and The Stump Jump Shiraz.
My favorite sauvignon blanc, though, is Nobilo. Also like Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling and surprisingly, their Chardonnay. My SIL always has a bottle of the Hogue Riesling in her fridge, but I find it too sweet.
For reds, I like the Mark West Pinot Noir, and The Stump Jump Shiraz.

Fire Road and La Playa Sauvignon Blancs are my favorite. Turning Leaf Pinot Grigio. If you want to spend $20, Cline Pinot Gris.

Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc/Viognier. Hands down. Bright, fruity, goes with everything, and it's $14 retail and frequently on sale for $11-12.
I also like Hogue Riesling or Gewurtzstraminer, both $10, on sale for $9. Also very clean and versatile. (Chateau Ste. Michelle makes similar ones at similar prices that I don't like quite as much, but they'll do.)
"Everyday" whites to avoid: pinot grigio, most cheap chardonnay, anything with an animal on it. I'm told the Cupcake whites are tolerable but I can't make myself try something called Cupcake.
