I'm married to a software engineer also and I think he'd react just as awkwardly as these other guys. I feel for you OP - you're brave for trying. Hang in there and give him a chance to come through.

Oh, come on. Most guys would love it, if nothing else because it sends a clear "you're about to get laid" signal. OP's DH is an idiot, and frankly, not very considerate.

I could see my DH blowing it like OP's did. I think he would just feel a bit awkward and not know how to respond. That is not an excuse; I would be totally annoyed as OP is, but it is what it is. Maybe if I kept up that kind of behavior, my dh would figure out how to respond, but it's too discouraging.

Oh, you asked for similar stories...a looooong time ago, I cooked my dh's birthday dinner wearing only heels and a sexy apron. He was totally awkward about it, and I think I got dressed before it was even finished. Ugh.

I tried this once and was also dressed fairly quickly with no action.

LOL, yes software engineers count. I love my engineer husband but their isn't a lot of out-of-box thinking.

These guys are dumb. If my woman were wearing an apron and heels cooking, she'd be on the table getting fucked. She doesn't wear heels, sadly, so she doesn't know what she's "missing" by giving me the visual I want.

Yeah, that was kind of the reaction I was expecting...

Haha, yes, software engineer if that counts.

DH sounds hilarious to me. Wasn't this a sarcastic response (meaning that it's obviously so sexy that he knew she didn't take it at work). Ideally he should have followed up with a va va voom, let's get home fast comment...

OP, you sent a coy picture. Maybe he was going for a coy response and you missed it.

Is your husband an engineer? It sounds like something mine would do.

In an effort to spice things up, I just sent DH a sexy pic I took a few days ago for this very purpose. Like a, hey babe, I'm coming home from work, get ready, pic.

Got a response saying, taking selfies at work?

Got any similar stories of backfires?
