THIS. We have done this. However, I have been systematically using up our freezer meat backlog so no festival of meat for us (this time. Derecho was ridiculous).

I hadn't thought about this, but we do have some good options. May need to go to the store, like, yesterday. Luckily stocked up on bread, milk, tp, and wine.

Definitely snow ice cream (if it's enough to stay home, it's enough for SIC)

I have a meaty ham bone in the freezer from our last honey ham. And a bag of split peas. I'll pick up an onion and make some fresh bread for some hearty pea soup.
