I took multiple languages in my high school/college experiences and found them very beneficial in honing my English grammar and thinking (especially Latin). I'm not sure if she will have similar benefits from taking Chinese, with the different writing style.
Also, I expressed these concerns to the principal and asked what his views were. He replied that if she's interested she should take it, and that if she's interested and takes it now that could help her get into a high school that offers it.
Has anyone heard of that scenario? Is it possible to get into (perhaps with a COSA or as an added element to an application for a application program to a school that offers the language? I couldn't help but somewhat doubt this idea...
