It isn't a good idea to use a water-pic yourself. You can't see what the dr or nurse sees so you can't aim it properly. Water-Pika can do serious permanent damage. Use Debrox and an ear syringe.

Can you share the name of your doctor? There was a poster on a similar thread recently who was looking for someone who does ear lavage.
You can do it yourself with Debrox

Yes! And sometimes when I use a q-tip I pull out a piece of dark ear wax dried in the shape of part of my ear canal. So strange!

I have this. I clean my ears twice a day. DH thinks I'm insane. I'm not sure he ever cleans his ears, and he doesn't understand what I mean when I say my ears feel wet or dirty.

I have the watery tickling kind. I can feel it rush in my ear canals at random times - it's horrible. I constantly feel like I need Qtips. I hate it.

Excessive ear wax runs in my family (although it seems to have skipped me). My son would tell me about a little bug in his ear. When he goes for his checkups once a year, the doctor always pulls out chunks and balls of ear wax. Ewww!

So, today I felt something moving inside and tickling my ear.
I immediately think that it's some sort of bug.....and rush to get it out.
When it came out, I discovered that it was a cluster of semi-dry ear wax plus dead skin cells.
It was so ticklish. Has this ever happened to anyone before?
