If this is a legit post, good for you! All a program like this needs is a few high-achievers to be the trailblazers and eventually others will follow. I'm a JFK alum (Class of '83), so I wish you the best in your decision.

Why would one suspect it was not "a legit post"?

Well, it strains credulity that a kid who allegedly was accepted into CAP and RM's IB would choose LTI over both those options. But that's not to say that it's not possible.

I was a little concerned with my first daughter coming to Kennedy and we turned down the LTI program and chose Blair because of test scores and the reputations of the schools. That daughter had good friends in the Kennedy LTI program and they had an incredible experience. So when my next daughter had a chance to attend LTI at Kennedy we accepted. We could not be happier. She has grown immensely and benefited from strong teacher and staff commitment and oversight. In particular, the LTI program is a great program.

If you have the choice of IB and LTI, you should definitely not pick LTI. It is a very very watered down version of the opportunities you would get at RM.

Our child is leaning towards the LTI program. I have not seen any discussion regrading it. Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
