The Habitat Restore often has very good appliances! And yes, I would buy one!

Check out Sears Outlet too. We just got a $2.4K range for $1.4K, with the Kenmore warranty.

Has anyone heard of Charm City Appliances in Baltimore? I saw them on Craigslist and they sell scratch and dents, etc. Their prices seem really good. Anyone have experience with them?

I brought a used fridge when we renovated the kitchen..a few years ago. It still works great. I brought it from a store, not craigs list.
I also have a used range.
I am happy with both. Saved so much money.

Well, I have a home warranty anyway. Pay the service fee of $60, & they have to fix or replace the item

Only if it was still under warranty.

I want to upgrade my appliances to stainless steel. Obviously, they are expensive. Would you buy a pre-owned stove or refrigerator, like from Craigslist or dealer, to save on costs, or am I asking for trouble?
