My policy regarding these types of threads, which we seem to get fairly often, is to not get involved. Even if the poster appears to be local, it is nearly impossible to know whether they are in DC, MD, or VA. So, I would have no idea which police department to contact. Then, all I can say is that an anonymous poster posted something that I don't know to be true. Finally, I'm not convinced that posters who are not making specific threats to harm themselves, but are essentially thinking out loud, really want the police to come busting through their doors.

I'm the person who wrote it. I clearly state how I have felt this way my whole life. Still alive . I'm not planning on killing myself. I just think about it everyday.

I think you may have posted about the wrong thread. The post you mentioned is about food allergies and your post (if it is the one recommending that OP get help) is clearly on the wrong message thread.

There is a poster talking about killing herself. The thread is titled, Uggh. I know this is a mostly anonymous forum, and I have no idea if you have a way of tracing someone, but I thought the message was alarming enough to contact you as the moderator.
