It's the regular morning snack at our daughter's daycare, and I think it's great. Low sugar, helps practice her eating with a spoon (they have bowls of them with milk), filling. The only thing is I do try to give her something else for breakfast on the days she goes to daycare, but she often requests "Os and milk." Oh well, there are far worse things for her to eat.

This is one of the snacks in rotation in our preschool and I'm ok with it. It teaches the younger kids how to use a spoon and the pre k kids still like it. It's not a bad snack nutritionally.

Well, my 3 yo has been having some tummy issues so she's having Cheerios for lunch.

PS: I'd prefer no cereal bars -- they're basically a sugar cookie. I'm no sugar-hater, but man, I think everyone's (including my kids') taste buds are being warped by constant exposure to corn syrup and other sweeteners.

Eh. It's better than goldfish.

How old? I'd prefer fruit, roasted chickpeas, healthy oatmeal cookies (made with oatmeal and fruit only), veggies with dip, yogurt, applesauce, hummus with pretzels...

Plus it's just the easiest snack on the planet. Can't you try a bit harder? Cereal bars at least?

Bad idea - so messy. They'll be all over the floor.

Cheerios to be exact. Good idea or bad idea?

If you choose bad idea, share your idea for a good snack.
