But a job with an org that size, I'd imagine $300K+ total comp. The penalties for failing to adhere to these laws can be stiff, so assuming this is a legitimate job (not a puppet one for show), it should pay well.

We pay our legal and compliance mid level staff $200k, our executive level $300k+

Yeah, I agree. At least $120-125k. Depends on the size of the organization. But they have titles to suggest there is a large enough executive team to support that kind of salary.

The Deputy Compliance and Ethics Officer reports directly to the Compliance and Ethics Officer (CCEO). The CCEO reports functionally to the Chairman of the Audit Committee and administratively to the President/CEO.

Responsibilities:
Generally to Assist the CCEO to:
Administer and oversee the day-to-day operations of the compliance and ethics program.
Collaborate with other business units and departments (e.g. legal, procurement, internal audit, human resources, and communications) to raise awareness of the compliance and ethics program and ensure accountability.
Provide reports to the audit committee, senior management and other groups or committees regarding the operations and progress of the program.
Coordinate activities to assess and monitor changes in all relevant laws, regulations and rules.
Identify trends in compliance and ethics program activities and practices.
Perform investigations of allegations of non-compliance when requested.

Specifically to Assist the CCEO to:
Advance the best practices program within each of the closely-held companies.
Ensure that the anti-corruption program, including the due diligence policy and procedures, are followed and periodically assessed and improved for effectiveness.
Perform due diligence review within the area of responsibility of compliance and ethics when considers new business partners or business intermediaries.
Guide the closely-held company corporate risk assessment processes and mitigation plans.
Review and recommend updates to the Code of Business Conduct and other policies and procedures to ensure continuing appropriateness and relevance to management and employees.
Work with Corporate Learning Officer to maintain and update staff values-based training offerings.
Identify deficiencies in current compliance related practices and develop appropriate program modifications and related activities to prevent and/or discover illegal, unethical or improper conduct.
Coordinate with human resources in the utilization of appropriate hiring, incentive and disciplinary programs relevant to compliance and ethics throughout.

Core Qualifications
Five to ten years of compliance and ethics experience; or related experience.
Three to five years of experience in federal or state practice which focuses on U.K. Bribery Act, FCPA, or FAR.
Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, Law or related field a must. J.D., M.S, or M.B.A. a plus.
Experience with international operations.
Experience working with engineering services and/or international development companies a plus.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and similar software.
Certification from Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and/or Ethics & Compliance Officer Association (ECOA) a plus.
