If you want another, one parent can do the childcare. You'd come out ahead.

Go for it. Just quit your job and go on public assistance.

1 4yo, public charter preschool. Aftercare is $300/mo, plus summer camp ends up being about $2000. So, $5K/yr

HHI is $58K.

$175K

My children do not have childcare costs as they are in HS. However we do have summer trip costs, orchestra trip costs, private music lessons, increased car insurance costs, braces costs, increased food costs (!) and of course saving for college costs. Count on spending what ever you are spending until they are launched.

1 3 year old in daycare, paying $760/mo. I'm pregnant right now, and really stressing over how we are going to pay an additional daycare cost.

HHI is around $150,000 gross (I don't know, for HHI, are you supposed to state your gross income, or net?)

I was thinking about this while doing taxes and was wondering if what we are spending is normal.

45K / year for nanny
17k / year for preschool (includes tuition and misc sports etc...)
------
66k a year

HHI 290K to 330K (good years)

Kids are 2 and 4
