yes, this looks like the one I used. The only thing I did differently was I cooked the roast whole. I had purchased a bone-in butt at Sams, and it was too hard to debone/cut into the cubes. So I just cooked it whole, as instructed, in the dutch oven, and deboned once it was done cooking. So my meat was more shredded than cubed at the end. Other than that, though, followed those directions exactly.

Make kalua pig - three ingredients, super easy and make it into a luau! This recipe calls for 16-20 hours of cooking but I have cooked mine for over 24 hours before. It is so delicious.

The last pork butt we made, used the pioneer women's Dr. pepper recipe:

This. ATK also has one for the slow cooker. It's absolutely amazing.

Use American Test Kitchen's pork carnitas recipe! I used it for my Christmas party and every guest there raved over it. (I live on a military base, so very multi-cultural.) One of my born in Mexico neighbors said it was better than their families' and one said it brought her back to the old days! I felt like such a rock star, and it was simple beyond belief!!

Make pork carnitas.

There are a lot of recipes, but for most, you cube the pork and add lots of cumin, salt, and citrus. Let cook overnight, then slow cook the pork. In some recipes, you then shred and serve. In more complicated recipes, you either broil the shreds or quick fry the cubes before you shred to add texture.

For serving, you could either serve it with some rice and beans or you could make it into burritos or tacos.

Quick-pickled red onions are a great condiment as well. The acid helps cut through the meaty/rich taste.

I have a Polyface Farm pork butt (8#) that I want to use for Super Bowl Sunday. The trouble is, I just don't feel like making BBQ pork with it so anyone have any other recipes/suggestions. We're an adventurous bunch so no recipe is too original.
