That's the best idea I've heard so far. Popcorn is pretty healthy for the volume you get to eat.

Trader Joes honey wheat pretzel sticks dipped in sharp cheddar pub cheese (also sold there). Yum! Not totally healthy, but okay if you have a small portion.

Y'all, she's asking for a not-unhealthy dish and you are recommending nachos.

Healthier is probably a healthy cracker and real cheese.

+1 Tortilla chips and melted cheese. Hits the spot every time.

You know what's good? Triscuits with sharp cheddar cheese. They taste like cheetohs. Oh, but that's not too healthy.

How about some steamed edamame in the pod with lots of large crystal sea or kosher salt? Protein snack that requires work to eat (opening them slows you down a bit) and nice and salty.

Also agree with PP who mentioned nuts. Salted almonds are high calorie, but they're also an appetite suppressant.

Maybe make some parmesan crisps. They are so intensely-flavored and thin that by the time you've satisfied your craving, you won't have consumed that much food.

As for immediate off-the-shelf needs, reduced fat cheese its have the same nutritional profile as goldfish crackers except that they have that salt/melted tire flavor you crave.

The salt, sweet, and fat thing kills me every time. Maybe nuts.

Forget the chocolate. I need ideas for when I have salty or cheesy cravings that aren't too destructive to my health.
